The trail crosses through vast meadows and farmland at the bottom of the valley and unique natural areas such as the Les Iles di Saint-Marcel wetlands nature reserve – an important nesting site – and then connects places of cultural interest, such as castles (including Gamba, Cly and the magnificent Fénis Castle) and the city of Aosta, bursting with over 2,500 years of history.

You pedal among chestnut forests, meadows, mountain fields and villages where remnants of an ancient way of life can still be seen, such as old water mills and traditional ovens for baking rye bread.
